Weekly Weigh In - Round 2 - Week 5
It was a good week for weight loss! I lost another 1.5 pounds! I am now just 10 pounds away from my goal weight. As the weeks pass, I am having a harder time finding good things to eat. So, this week I was on a mission to find new yummy foods. One of the best things I tried was a veggie dip! It is made with greek yogurt and ranch powder flavoring. It was DELICIOUS! Check out this video that I found to see how easy it is to make! You should also just subscribe to the MM&L show and watch all of their videos. They are hilarious and have great diet and beauty tips. You may even recognize one of the hosts from when she was a contestant on The Bachelor.

Weekly Weigh In - Round 2 - Week 3
This week was a little tough for me to stay on track. I came down with a chest cold. So, I was only able to work out 1 out of 7 days. :( I bet I'll have to start back on level one when I get back on track with Jillian Michaels. I am going to wait another day or two. I still don't feel like I could breathe well enough to complete it without passing out. I did still go for multiple walks with baby M in the stroller. So, I was still burning calories. I also still managed to stay under my calorie goal for all but 1 day. I felt bad for myself for being sick and allowed a splurge. I am starting to think that I may switch back to Weight Watchers. I like having the allowance points for an occasional splurge without feeling like I have ruined my whole plan. It also gives me a little more to eat each day. I lose about a pound per week on weight watchers. So, the pounds come off just a little bit slower, but they stay off. Using myfitnesspal.com, I have been losing 2-5 pounds per week. But, I feel like I am hungry all of the time.
So, here is my progress for last week. I lost 2 more pounds! So, I have lost a total of 7.8 pounds total. I have just over 13 pounds left to meet my goal. I am also back to the weight that I was when I stopped trying to lose weight the last time (this is when I was doing weekly weigh ins with all of you in the past and lost 55 pounds and then stopped, about 5 months ago). So, if I can lose just another pound, I will be the smallest that I have been in over a year. My goal is really in sight, I just need to stick with it. I still haven't taken pics of myself and my progress. I tend to shy away from the camera when I am not at my goal weight, or all of the pictures are of my face only. I hope to get a picture for you soon.

Weekly Weigh In - Round 2, Week 2!
I recently recommitted to staying fit! I was weighing in with you all on weekly basis a few months ago. Then, after losing 55 pounds (but still 15 away from my pre-baby goal), I gave up - and I gained back 8 pounds! I am now back on track and on round 2 of getting back to my pre-baby weight and in even better shape than I was before I got pregnant. Last week I did my first weigh in for round 2. Last week I reported a 3 pound weight loss. Since then, I have lost 2.4 more pounds for a total of 5.4 pounds. I am now 16 pounds away from my goal weight! Yay! I can do this! I have two 10 year high school reunions this summer that I want to be looking good for. One is in June, so I don't think I will be at goal weight. But, the other is in July and I really think I can be there by then!

Weekly Weigh In Round 2 - Week 1
Remember when I used to post my weekly weigh in every week a few months ago, and then I got really lazy and gave up and started eating whatever I wanted and stopped working out? Well.... that was a bad idea! I gained back 8 pounds. Recently my best friend decided to motivate me to start back up again and made me shake on it that I would start the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred again, but ACTUALLY stick with it this time!

Monthly Weigh In! I'm LAME!!!
I haven't weighed in with all of you for weeks! I have been too ashamed. I type this as my belly is full of a half a box of girl scout cookies! lol. I was at my parent's house tonight and they had 10 boxes! I couldn't resist! I was good with my diet again for about a week. I was eating all fruits, veggies, grains etc. I was following my Weight Watchers plan.... then a terrible thing happened... my dishwasher broke! I am way too lazy to wash dishes by hand and so is my husband. So, we have been opting to eat out more! I know, we are terrible!
The bonus of all of this is that I haven't gained weight. I haven't lost weight either - but at least I am maintaining. I am still going for regular stroller walks as well, but it is getting colder and I have a feeling that won't last much longer. At this time last year, my yard was covered in a foot of snow. So, I am not expecting to be able to exercise in the outdoors for much longer!
So here is my reality check. I have 3.5 months to lose 15 pounds in order to get to my prepregnancy weight before baby M's first birthday. Here is the dilemma, I am trying to decide if I even care anymore. I am happy at this weight. I am confident. I have lost 55 pounds, everyone comments on how much weight I have lost. I look in the mirror, and I see ME (not the version of me that was 50+ pounds ago). I want to stay in shape (or get in shape lol) and maintain.... but do I really need to lose more weight? Is it ok to be 15 pounds heavier after having a baby and be ok with it? Am I giving up? Should I post an "after" picture and let you see? Or, should I wait until I hit my goal? I NEED ADVICE!

Weekly Weigh In - Week 11
I lost 1 pound last week. I have now lost 21 pounds on Weight Watchers 11 weeks ago and 56 since giving birth almost 8 months ago. I have 14 pounds left to lose until I hit my pre-baby weight!
I feel like my weight loss needs a little boost. I am starting to get bored with my routine and wanting to cheat more often. I have been tracking what I eat less and less and working out less and less. The same foods day in and day out are getting boring. I need a motivation boost, I need a change.... My friend started doing Turbo Fire? Has anyone tried that? Does anyone have a good recipe (vegetarian friendly) to share, tips, work outs that I can do at home (I have no time and am too cheap to join a gym). PLEASE! Comments are welcome! I need your help! I am so close to my goal.... yet it feels so unattainable and so far away if I keep feeling so unmotivated and bored.

Weekly Weigh In - Weeks 9-10
It feels so good to be meeting my goals! I love that I am closer to my goal that I am to my heaviest weight. I am hoping to never be that size again, unless I get pregnant again, but that is not the plan. Even if I were to get pregnant again, I would try very hard to not let myself gain 70 pounds again. It has just not been fun trying to lose it all again.
I think I may start doing Turbo Fire with a friend in the next week or so in order to kick start my workout routines. I didn't stick with the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred the way that I wanted to. It is just SO HARD! But, I know the results are worth it. I have a friend that is doing it that has lost 12 pounds in just a few weeks! What work out routines do you do that really work for you?

Weekly Weigh In - Week 8
This post is 2 days late..... better late than never? I lost 1.5 more pounds this week! Yay! Every little but counts and adds up! I hit my 10% target. I know, I had already said that I hit it, and I did. But, I had hot my 10% target from my fully pregnant weight. I have now lost 10% of my body weight since starting weight watchers just 8 weeks ago. I have lost 16.5 pounds total! Yay! So if you can do math, you may be able to figure out what my starting weight was when I started weight watchers. I didn't really want to share the numbers, but now I have made it a little obvious. I was 200 pounds when I delivered baby M. That is 70 pounds more than my pre-baby weight of 130. After baby M was born I lost 35 pounds from delivery and breast feeding. I stayed at that weight until baby was 5 months. That put me at 165 with no changes. Since I started weight watchers I have lost 16.5 pounds, so just 18 or so pounds until I am back to my pre-baby weight. That isn't much considering that I had gained 70! I have lost 52 pounds! I am so proud of myself. It makes that little 18 pounds left to go seem like nothing. My jeans don't fit, and it is a good thing! Like I told you last week, I now fit into my "transition pants" that I keep around for when I am this size. But, they are out of style now. It's been a while since I was this size. I need to get myself a new pair (new to me at least, I like consignment shops). But, I went to get a pair today, and the store was closed! BOO!!!!! So, it will be my goal this week to get myself a nice pair of transition pants so that I can feel good about how I look at this size, and show it off! My baggy "fat jeans" don't show off all of my hard work! Hopefully in just a few short months I will be able to show off my "after" picture. Maybe next week I will post a transition pic to show how all the hard work has paid off so far. If I do end up getting my new jeans, I will do it. :)

Weekly Weigh In - Weeks 6 & 7
Hello everyone! This week's Weekly Weigh In will be for 2 weeks, I missed last week's weigh in because we had a friend in town and took him up to the Alpine Slide, Zip Line and Alpine Coaster in Park City. It was an AMAZING time! I just didn't have my blog or my diet on my mind! I did pretty well to eat healthy foods while our friend was in town, but I will admit that I didn't take the time to track what I was eating. I also will admit that I didn't find time to work out in the midst of all of the fun we were having. This week I got back on track with writing down what I ate and tracking my points, but I didn't do much more to work out other than taking baby M for a few walks.
I was expecting this week's weigh in to be like last week's, no loss and no gain. I was pleasantly surprised to get on the scale today and see that I lost 3.5 pounds and met my 15 pound goal! Yay! I never got my pedicure for meeting my last goal, but I did buy a new outfit for myself instead, so I will need to go and get a pedicure soon for meeting this goal, OR I might let myself get a new (well new to me, I usually shop at consignment shops for the bargain) pair of designer jeans!
I tried on a pair of old jeans last night (my transition pants that I keep for when I am between my goal weight and my heavy weight). I had kept these jeans after I lost the weight last time because I was hoping to get pregnant some day and knew I would gain the weight back and would need my transition pants. I am sure glad I kept them! They are 2 sizes smaller than the pants that I bought post pregnancy when I finally gave in and bought "fat pants". (I was so tired of wearing maternity pants after my baby was 2 months old, so I gave in and bought pants that were 5 sizes bigger than my pants before I got pregnant, I gained 70 pounds during my pregnancy). So, now I am happy to report that my fat pants are 2 sizes too big and now I fit into my transition pants!!!! Hopefully in a few short months I will fit into my skinny jeans! But, my transition pants were purchased in 2009 and are not really in style and are pretty worn out. So, I may just go and buy myself a pair of pants in this new size that are also in style so that I feel good about myself when I wear them, plus it'll be a reward for meeting my 15 pound goal!

Weekly Weigh In - Week 5
First, I will talk about my weight loss successes! I made it past the first month! I stayed on my weight watchers diet plan! I lost 2.5 pounds this week, 12.5 pounds since starting weight watchers, and 45.5 since having baby M. I still have 24.5 pounds left to get to my pre baby weight. I am proud of myself for sticking to my diet plan and eating right. It is paying off. People are starting to notice my weight loss and congratulating me on it. It is a great feeling that keeps me motivated to stick with it.
Now on to my not so successful moments this week, I did NOT stick to my work out plan this week. I know I am making excuses, but baby M had her 6 month shots on Monday and then had an adverse reaction this time and got sick. So, I was too busy being concerned about her to be concerned much about myself. I noticed that there were times that I missed meals this week because I was wrapped up in caring for her, which is not good for my diet plan either. But, that only lasted for the 2 days that she had the reaction. I have no excuse for the rest of the week. I didn't work out even one time this week. I did take baby M for a few walks, but I really need to step it up with my work outs if I want to get the tone that I need. Otherwise, I will lose all this weight and still look fat, and I do not want that. I am working too hard at my diet to have that be the outcome. My goals for next week are the same as last week since I did not meet last week's goals. :(
Here are my goals for next week:
1. 3 Jillian Michales 30 Day Shred work outs at level 1
2. Earn 18 activity points
3. Try a new weight watchers recipe

Weekly Weigh In - Week 4
Sorry to be posting this a little later than usual today. It was my best friend's daughter's first birthday and then my cousin's daughter's first birthday as well! So, we had 2 parties to go to with a 6 month old along for the ride, so it was a very busy day. Even with all the cake, ice cream and chips in sight.... I was a good girl and stayed on track with my diet plan.
I have 3 things to report that I am very PROUD of.... I lost 2 pounds, and I met my 10 pound goal (one of my 5 long term goals in which I will reward myself). So, I will be getting a pedicure soon as my reward! Yay! After my bad week last week of losing no weight and actually gaining a half a pound, this was a nice change! The third thing that I am proud to report is that I actually started the Jillian Michaels DVD workout that I have been promising to start. To put it lightly, it kicked my @$$! It was only a 30 minute work out, but I felt that soreness instantly, it didn't even take 20 minutes to set in. I had a hard time even picking up my baby and it took everything in me not to throw up. But, it was easier the 2nd time. I only did the workout twice this week. I was too sore the next day to do it, then I did it again, and then my week got away from me after that. I will try to do it more next week.

My 3 goals for last week were:
1. START the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. ✓
2. Earn 15 activity points. ✓
3. Try a new weight watchers recipe - only half way did this. I tried a weight watchers recipe, but it was not a new one. It was one that I used last time I was on the plan. It was brown rice, soy sauce, a scrambled egg using egg beaters, and broccoli. It was only 4 points for dinner, and I got to have chinese food. But, it wasn't a new recipe, so I did not meet that goal. :(
This week's 3 goals/action plan:
1. Do the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred workout at least 3 times
2. Earn 18 activity points

Weekly Weigh In - Week 3
The day that I feared is here! I knew when I decided the blog about my journey to lose the baby weight that I would have a day that I weighed in with over 220 people reading where I would have to tell you all that I did not lose weight this week. Not only did I not lose..... but I gained a half a pound! I know that this happens, and I am trying not to be down about it. Yes, I stuck to my diet plan and stayed within my points (I am on Weight Watchers). But, I did not work out or really get a lot of activity in at all. I didn't pack snacks and made some less than desirable choices while out and about when I got hungry. I also started a new birth control this week. It was also quite a stressful week due to some family issues that were out of my control. So, I am trying not to be too hard on myself. I am starting fresh tomorrow. It is a new week with many possibilities.
Last time I was on Weight Watchers and lost 30 pounds, I found that setting long term goals for myself with rewards for each goal met, writing down my top ten reasons that I want to lose weight, and setting weekly goals for myself really helped me to stay on track and keep myself motivated. So, here it goes....
5 Long Term Goals & Rewards
1. Lose 10% of my body weight - New Make-up. Goal met last week, reward was purchased yesterday.
2. Lose 10 Pounds - pedicure
3. Lose 15 Pounds - night out with the girls
4. Lose 20 Pounds - new jeans
5. Lose 25 Pounds - $$ Shopping spree for some new clothes
Ten reasons I want need to lose the baby weight
1. Confidence
2. To fit into my old clothes
3. To feel like myself when I look in the mirror
4. To feel pretty again
5. To sleep more comfortably
6. To be more healthy
7. Sense of accomplishment
8. To prove to others that I can do this
9. So that I don't look like an idiot to my blog readers for giving up
10. To set a healthy example for my daughter
This week's 3 goals/action plan
1. START the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I have been saying I would start this for 3 weeks now! I just need to DO IT!!!!!!!
2. Earn 15 activity points
3. Try a new weight watchers recipe
From now on, as I meet one of my long term goals, I will let you know. I will also show off my reward for meeting that goal so that I am sure to actually get myself the reward. So often as a mom, I forget to do things for myself every now and then! I will set new weekly goals each week, and will let you know on the following week if I met my goal.
So, here is a picture of the make up that I rewarded myself with for meeting my 10% goal. I got a great deal at Ulta! I got $75 worth of free make up with a $17.50 purchase! I love a good bargain! So, I spent $18, and got almost $100 worth of make up!
You can get the same deal HERE
Here is a quote for this week to keep myself motivated. I will remind myself of it each time that I need a little encouragement.
"Start doing what's necessary, then do what's possible, and suddenly you'll be doing the impossible!"

Weekly Weigh In - Week 2
I did it, I stuck to my plan for another week, and.... drumroll..... LOST 3 POUNDS! That brings me to a grand total of 7 pounds lost on Weight Watchers in just 2 weeks. I am loving this! Only 28 more pounds to go before I am at my pre-baby weight. That may seem like a lot, but I gained 70 total during my pregnancy, so I am more than half way to my goal! Yay!
I did say that I was going to start the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred last week, and I will be honest. I didn't start yet. I threw a baby shower this weekend for my sister, I had some part time work from home to get done, and was busy with the 100 Follower Giveaway here on this blog. Excuses, excuses I know! That is why I am blogging this weight loss journey in front of all 191 of you. I want to keep myself accountable. I know that if I have to tell almost 200 people that I didn't do what I said I would do, or wasn't on track with my diet, that I am more likely to stick to it.
I had some moments where I wanted to give in, like when the cup cakes at my sister's baby shower were staring me in the face. But, I did it! I resisted and it was worth it. :) I had another successful weigh in day today!
Check back soon! I will be posting pictures of the awesome baby shower that I threw for my sister. I made a diaper cake and a lot of the decorations all by myself. I was so proud. :)

Weekly Weigh In - Week 1
Happy 24th of July!!! For those of you that do not know, this is a HUGE holiday in Utah! It's "Pioneer Day", the day that the mormon pioneers came to Utah. Now, I am not mormon, but it is a state holiday, so it is fun to celebrate. I don't have any big plans this year though.
I decided as a way to keep myself accountable on my journey to lose the baby weight, I would weigh in each week... in front of all 138 (as of right now) of you! That is motivation right? Well, on a weigh in day like today, I have no trouble making that commitment, I lost weight on the first week back on weight watchers! I am sure somewhere in the months ahead where I have a week where I gained or maintained, I might not be so happy that I promised to do this. But, when I wrote my "Time to Lose the Baby Weight" post 2 weeks ago, I said I would keep you all posted about my progress. Maybe down the road I will post my "before" picture, but not until I don't look like that anymore. :) Like I said in the previous post, I gained 70 pounds during my pregnancy, so I am not ready to show that picture just yet. But, here is one from the end of my pregnancy:
Here is a pic of when I lost the weight on WW in 2009, it will be another "goal" pic to keep me motivated. Isn't my puppy cute? Dang, the pic above and this pic don't even look like the same person! This is NOT a pic of me right now, this is my motivation picture that I will look at to keep me going.
So far, I am liking the new Weight Watchers Points Plus program. I did WW before in 2009. I gained 25 pounds while my husband was deployed to Iraq and after he came home (welcoming home a combat veteran can be a little stressful, food was a nice coping mechanism.... until I got fat. lol), and lost 30 using WW! The new program is even better ! My favorite part is that fruits are 0 points. Also, it isn't calculating the points based on calories, but on fat, carbs, fiber and protein! I like the new changes and think it is going to be a great plan for me this time around as well.
So here it is, my weekly weigh in, I lost 4 pounds this week! I was pleasantly surprised since I wasn't able to start working out the way that I wanted to since my little M got sick for the first time. She had a terrible stomach bug and was throwing up everything for days. I was so concerned about her getting dehydrated and losing weight and not getting the nutrition that she needs. But, I am also happy to report that she is doing better and starting to eat normally and keep it all down.
Next week, I will start the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I hope that it helps to accelerate the weight loss and help me to get back some of that muscle tone that I have NONE of.
Hey, while you are here, you should enter my 100 Followers Giveaway. There are some AMAZING prizes (cloth diaper, wrap, jewelry, Scentsy, baby photography props, knitted baby hats, tutu, bow, & decorative frame.... just a few). What can I say, when I do it, I do it BIG! 7 Giveaways for the kick off. Not bad right? These are all low entry too, so you will have a good chance to win. Ends 7/27.
