Perching At Home's creator started to crochet as a way do deal with postpartum depression and anxiety. The repetitive hand movements of crochet have been shown to lower your blood pressure by 11 pts! As she shared the things she had made with others, they urged her to open my shop. It all started with the cookie monster hat. As her child got older, she started inventing things that didn't exist, or simply weren't good enough, and then came the Best Baby Shower Gift and the wildly popular Teething Rails. She is happy that others can find joy or even a laugh with the things she makes, because there's nothing more healing than laughter.

Guess who's back??? One of my FAVORITE places to get headbands, bows, and hair accessories, Baby Clippys! Baby Clippys is a business created by a WAHM (work at home mom), Nizel. She specializes in "clippys" (bows and clips), bow boards, headbands and accessories for the little princess in your life. Nizel is a crafty, semi stay at home momma that finally decided to share her creations (lucky us!). Everything is made by her in her home between feedings and diaper changes! Baby Clippys are 100% unique and made with love!

Rebekah Dawn's Designs started by Rebekah making items for her daughter, decorating her new house and sending out homemade gifts and cards. Soon she started making items for friends and her craftiness turned into a small side business. She now has her own website where she sells hand made items such as vinyl decor, bows, tutus and more. Everything on the site was custom designed by her. She would love to create something unique for you!

I have had the pleasure of receiving this jewelry as a gift on many occasions and I love it! Erica, of Rad Scents (Independent Scentsy Consultant) and her husband Kurt are currently in the process of trying to adopt a child. As some of you may know by now, I am a huge advocate of adoption (as seen in my previous post about my friends Robert and Carli who recently brought their new daughter home!!!). I am partially adopted. I was legally adopted by my (then step father) dad when I was 9 years old, and he was also adopted at birth by both of his parents. It is so amazing that there are people who open their heart to children and give them a better life, the life that they deserve - whether it be a newborn from America or an older child from another country. There are many children that need loving parents. I know that my life would be drastically different if not for my dad opening his heart to me. We still celebrate our adoption anniversary every year.
