500 Follower Giveaway!!! Scentsy Plug-In Warmer **CLOSED**

We made it to 500 Followers!!! YAY! This post will be the first of many coming in the next week to celebrate! The first 500 Follower Giveaway Celebration comes to you from Rad Scents, Erica Hatch Independent Scentsy Consultant.

Erica and her husband Kurt are currently in the process of trying to adopt a child.  As some of you may know by now, I am a huge advocate of adoption (as seen in my previous post about my friends Robert and Carli who recently brought their new daughter home!!!). I am partially adopted. I was legally adopted by my (then step father) dad when I was 9 years old, and he was also adopted at birth by both of his parents. It is so amazing that there are people who open their heart to children and give them a better life, the life that they deserve - whether it be a newborn from America or an older child from another country. There are many children that need loving parents. I know that my life would be drastically different if not for my dad opening his heart to me. We still celebrate our adoption anniversary every year.

Here is Erica and Kurt's adoption story:

"We decided in August of 2011 we were going to start the adoption process. We found out in June that Kurt has a vary rare disease known as klienfelters disease which prevents us from having children. Although that news was COMPLETELY devastating, we also felt it was not going to stop us from our dream of starting a family. In August, we spent the entire month filling out lots of paper work, going to the doctor, meeting with a case worker, doing a background check, completing our home study. In September, our home study was complete and turned in. In October we received our letter approving us for the adoption from our agency! Now, it's just the waiting game!"
