Potty Time DVD & Music CD- Review & GIVEAWAY

One of baby M's FAVORITE movies of all is "Baby Signing Time". It cheers her up when she is in a bad mood. It works every time. She laughs at anything that Hopkins does. She signs along (as best as she can) to the songs. She dances too, especially to the "Diaper Dance". She has learned so much. She has even done signs from the DVD that we have never practiced with her. It has really helped her communication and eased frustration. So, when I was offered a Potty Time DVD and Music CD to review, I jumped at the chance! M is 15 months and we will begin trying potty learning before she is 2 years old. This is the perfect time to start watching the potty training video, learn the signs, and get her interested in the idea. By the time potty learning rolls around, we should be able to communicate about it more effectively because we will have all learned the signs that go along with it.
Just like with "Baby Signing Time", the minute I put on the DVD, M was thrilled. She instantly recognized the characters. She was very excited by all of the songs. She has even learned to sign "potty"! She signs it whenever I tell her that daddy or myself are going to use the potty. I really like how the program focuses on learning to listen to your "amazing" body and follow it's cues. It teaches more than just potty training, but how to listen to your body to know when you are hungry, tired, or need to use the potty.  The characters, Rachel, Alex, Leah, and Hopkins are fun to watch and easy to recognize. The songs are very entertaining. The message is great and easy to follow. I would recommend this DVD and the entire Signing Time program to my readers.
Learning sign language is not just for the deaf community. It is a great second language for anyone to know. It is especially great for babies and toddlers that may not be able to express themselves with their words just yet (or they may be trying to but are hard to understand). This helps to lessen temper tantrums and frustration. A lot of M's words sound alike at this point, so when she says the word and then does the sign along with it, it is much easier for me to understand what it is that she wants.
